About Me

I am Ashleigh Rielly, a qualified and HPCSA-registered Educational Psychologist dedicated to supporting children and adolescents with learning, emotional, behavioural, and developmental challenges so they can thrive both academically and personally.
My professional journey began in education, where I worked as a Foundation Phase teacher and Head of Department after completing my Bachelor of Education degree. During my years in the classroom, I developed a deep understanding of the powerful connection between emotional wellbeing and academic success. This experience inspired me to further specialise in Educational Psychology, completing both my Honours and Master’s degrees in Educational Psychology.
Today, I work with children and adolescents aged 3–18, partnering closely with families, educators, and support professionals to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychological support tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
I have experience working in private practice as well as within international public educational psychology services. As an Educational Psychologist with Durham County Council in the United Kingdom, I collaborated within multidisciplinary teams supporting children with diverse learning, developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs. This experience strengthened my commitment to inclusive education and evidence-based intervention, bringing valuable international best practices into my work with South African families.
My services include:

Comprehensive psychoeducational assessments

Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and learning interventions
I have extensive experience supporting learners presenting with learning difficulties, ADHD, autism, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, and school adjustment concerns. My approach focuses on understanding the whole child recognising that academic progress, emotional wellbeing, family context, and developmental needs are closely connected.
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where children feel understood and empowered, and where parents feel guided and reassured throughout the process. Every assessment and intervention plan is personalised, practical, and grounded in professional ethics and research-based practice.
As both an educator and psychologist, I combine educational insight with psychological expertise to help children build confidence, resilience, and lifelong learning skills.
With the right support, every child has the opportunity to flourish.
